Particle dispersion technology
S-LEC™ Solar Control Film offers added heat insulation performance to the basic three S-LEC™ performance properties: Safety, Security, and UV blocking, all in a single sheet of glass.
Our innovative fine particle dispersion technology allows for the even distribution of Solar Control and other fine particles and materials onto interlayer film resin. Solar Control dispersion not only protects from UV rays, it blocks infrared rays responsible for burning sensations. These revolutionary Solar Control dispersion particles safeguard against UV and IR rays without impeding transmittance of visible light.
Laminated glass with S-LEC™ Solar Control Film, protects against infrared rays of 1,300 to 2,500 nm saving skin from the burning sensation associated with IR. Visible light transmitted through the glass maintains it’s brightness while powerful heat insulation performance provides skin and temperature comfort.
