With over 60 years of experience we now lead the way in glass interlayer technology. Our excellent production facilities and expert technical teams have earned the trust from many customers. We have helped them face future challenges by close cooperation in developing new ways of interlayer protection in laminated glass in cars and buildings.

We bring new benefits to laminated glass windows by using three core technologies that we are very proud of. With Multi-Layer Technology we simultaneously extrude several layers from a metallic mold to produce multi-layer films with functions like sound control. Fine-Particle Distribution Technology helps us to mix fine particles and other materials in interlayer films. This achieves uniform qualities and enhanced properties such as infra-red-shielding. Adhesive Strength Adjustment Technology ensures the safety of laminated glass. We have developed and patented the capability to adjust the amount of adhesion between glass and our multi-layer films. By controlling this reaction, we can supply industries that demand rigorous quality when it comes to safety and security of interlayer glass.

European Research Center

In 2017 we celebrated twenty years of SEKISUI S-Lec B.V. in the Netherlands. At that time we also established a European Research Center at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Sittard-Geleen. This fusion of resources enables us to boost our technology evolution, product development and global business. To fully benefit from an innovative ecosystem we are also expanding our base material plant at the Chemelot Industrial Park and our film production plant in Roermond.

SEKISUI S-Lec B.V. is located at three different facilities in The Netherlands. We operate a base material production plant at the Chemelot Industrial Park in Sittard-Geleen and host a European Research Center at the adjoining Brightlands Chemelot Campus. Our head office and film production plant are located in Roermond.

Enjoy future challenges together

Our strong market position is derived from unique technology and continuously improving products and production processes. To accommodate customer demands we combine our technical expertise with valuable client input. Our main driver is being able to face and enjoy the future’s challenges together with business partners. In research we currently focus on new applications for the automotive industry, most notably Head-Up Display (HUD) systems that improve safe driving and correspond to the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
